Cookie policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This page explains which cookies and comparable storage entries we use on scheroh.ch. Necessary cookies are always set; analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent, which you give separately for each of the two categories.
Necessary cookies and storage entries
These cookies and storage entries are required to operate the shop and do not need your consent.
- stt_cart_id – stores your shopping cart so that your items are retained (storage period: up to 90 days).
- stt_cookie_consent – stores your cookie choice (analytics and marketing) so that the banner does not appear on every visit; saved without analytics, it also records your objection to the counting without cookies (storage period: up to 180 days). If we change the available choices – as most recently with the new "Marketing" category – we ask you again.
- telemetry:session-id – an entry in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage), not a cookie: a random identifier that your browser sends to our shop server so that we can trace errors of the shop server during a visit as a whole (storage period: until you close the browser tab). The shop server transmits this identifier together with its monitoring data to Grafana Labs in the USA; see section 9 of the privacy policy for details.
- keyval-store – a database (IndexedDB) in your browser, not a cookie: a technical cache in which the website can keep shop data it has already loaded (e.g. categories) so that pages load faster. At present it holds only an empty record with a timestamp and no personal data. The website discards content older than 7 days (storage period: until you delete the site data in your browser).
Counting without cookies (Vercel Web Analytics)
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count how often our pages are viewed, how far product pages are scrolled (25, 50, 75 and 100%, with the item number) and how often the cookie banner is shown and answered with analytics allowed. This service sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser; we receive only totals that cannot be linked to any person. It therefore runs without consent, but you can object to it at any time: if you choose "Reject all" or save analytics cookies switched off, your browser sends no more data to Vercel Web Analytics, not even your answer to the banner. See section 11 of the privacy policy for details.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to understand how our website is used and to improve it continuously. These cookies are only set, and data is only collected, after you have given your consent in the cookie banner. Without your consent to the respective category, the analytics and marketing signals remain deactivated (Google Consent Mode v2, "denied" by default); no cookieless signals are sent to Google either. Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies; when its program file is loaded, Google receives, for technical reasons, your IP address, your browser details and the address of our website, but not the specific page you opened (see section 13 of the privacy policy for details).
- _ga – distinguishes visitors (storage period: up to 2 years).
- _ga_M888DJTBTX – stores the session state for analytics (storage period: up to 2 years).
- stt_analytics_purchase – an entry in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage), not a cookie: after an order it remembers the order number so that the purchase is counted only once in Google Analytics, even if you reload the order confirmation. It is set only with your consent and deleted when you withdraw it (storage period: until you close the browser tab).
The provider is Google Ireland Limited (or Google LLC, USA). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google; appropriate safeguards are in place for transfers to the USA (standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework). Details can be found in our privacy policy. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytics cookies and reload the page; from then on Google Analytics collects no data. This also ends the counting without cookies (see above).
Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel)
With your consent to marketing cookies, we load the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (parent company: Meta Platforms, Inc., USA) via Google Tag Manager. We use it to measure the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook and Instagram, to attribute purchases to our ads, to build advertising audiences (for example to show ads to people who have viewed products in our shop) and to optimise the delivery of our ads. The "Marketing" category is not preselected; you can reject it in the cookie banner just as easily as you can accept it. Without your consent the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no Meta cookies are set.
- _fbp – set by Meta: an identifier of your browser (storage period: 90 days).
- _fbc – set by Meta: stores the click identifier of an ad when you reach us via an ad on Facebook or Instagram (storage period: 90 days).
With your consent to marketing cookies, we also set the Google Consent Mode signals for advertising (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) to "granted"; by default they are set to "denied". We do not use Google's advertising services: Google Analytics is not linked to any advertising account, and Google Signals is deactivated.
If you consented to marketing cookies when placing your order, our shop server additionally transmits the purchase directly to Meta (Conversions API), including the values of _fbp and _fbc. With your consent, it likewise transmits every addition of a product to the cart (details in section 14 of the privacy policy). The Meta Pixel does not run on the order confirmation or on the page you return to after payment.
We and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. are jointly responsible for collecting the data and transmitting it to Meta; data may be transferred to the USA (Meta Platforms, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, standard contractual clauses are in place). Details, including the data transmitted and your rights, can be found in section 14 of the privacy policy. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the cookies _fbp and _fbc and reload the page; from then on no more data is transmitted to Meta.
Managing cookies
You can adjust your consent to analytics and marketing cookies at any time using the "Open cookie settings" button; the two categories can be chosen separately. With analytics cookies switched off, the counting without cookies stops as well. In addition, you can display, block or delete necessary cookies via your browser settings. Deleting necessary cookies may impair the functioning of the shop.
